Hello, we're Max and Elena Panizza, we're both painter from Italy. We live and paint in Rozzano near Milan. We speak for two because we’re an artistic couple, as well as in life.
In our seascape paintings and textured paintings the sum of the emotions and our personal perception of reality become a unique and better art synthesis.
Our paintings have a characteristic: they come directly from our heart, they are painted with all the love that flows between us and that we spill onto the canvas.
Our way of painting is special, because we put both hands on all our paintings. It happens that one of us begins to paint a painting, depending on the inspiration that catch it.
The extraordinary thing is that the creative vein is transmitted from one to the other, it's like a flow of energy. When the first sets the brush, the second is immediately ready to restart, continue, complete the other's work.
This exchange of continuous enrichment is repeated over and over again on each painting, until we both smile with satisfaction at the result. Sometimes we also have to impose a limit, because otherwise we would go on with this endless creative dance!
We love living immersed in nature, we love walking in the nature and on the seashore. We walk for a long time, absorbing the sounds, the smells and the sensations of nature and sea that come to us, and we fill our eyes with all colors. We talk about it and we continually confront each other in search of a synthesis, which will then become into a new seascape painting or a new textured painting.
The nature that surround us are the main source of inspiration for our textured paintings with trees. The majestic beauty of a solitary tree drives us to simplify the contours, almost bringing us to the abstraction of shapes. And whenever we can, we reach our haven near Five Lands, where the rough sea of Liguria is our other muse. We spend hours and hours to watch the movement of the waves and the light that is divided into a thousand reflections.
Our particular and unique style is recognized in our calm seascape paintings, and recently in the our new abstract textured paintings with trees or sailboats. Our paintings are completely hand painted, with the utmost attention to every detail.

Married couple painting the sea in 4 hands
ROZZANO
Elena e Max have achieved success with their paintings.
A passion started by kids
They are a young married couple who manages to capture the sea and take it everywhere. They do not put it in a jar and do not play illusionistic games: they use tempera, brushes and ... a single easel. One only because they paint together. Elena Panizza and Max Travaini have always lived with art despite having tried several times to get away from it.
The artistic maturity is over. They had planned future apparently far from painting: but after a few years, working as a graphic designer and she as an illustrator, they found themselves still dealing with art.
They founded a graphic-illustration company through which they create greeting cards and decorate objects for the home. The passion for painting. gradually, as a complement to their business, it becomes their first point of reference and their home, the company headquarters, becomes the cradle of their imagination. The sacrifices to be made are many, but they both admit with satisfaction that "having a brush in your hand means being totally in another world". They then begin to paint children's rooms and pub walls, also using the trompe I'oeil technique.
About a year ago Max draws a different subject: inspired by a photo he paints the sea. A sea seen almost in perspective. The marinas become a great success and crown their artistic symbiosis: "the two souls that make us up come out": Max deals with the depth and nuances, Elena with the foam, the shadows and the details. The painting is done together, from the sketch to the choice of colors and the signature, Maxele, becomes the emblem of the artistic duo. To make themselves known, they decide to exhibit outdoors in the streets not only of Milan, in fairs and at the notorious exhibition on the Navigli. In painting Max and Elena have in mind the Sardinian sea, but every eye can see what imagination and memories make him imagine. Listening to the requests and impressions of the customers, they coined a new idea: to paint the frame too: the idea of continuity results, and it almost seems that the water and the sky must come out of the picture to expand. It was an immediate success, their paintings are listed on the "Elite 2000" catalog. They have many plans. Many of whom Max revealed to us are "in the corner of ideas conceived but always postponed".

"Artestrasse" grows
"Artestrasse is one of the many street events in which we participate - said Elena Panizza, author with her husband of a series of paintings representing marine harmonies. Something good can be born and it is an opportunity to make us known because so many people pass by, curious and passionate, and often stop to ask for information about our works".

"Contemporary Art on the Sea"
continues to surprise
... Among these also the paintings of the Milanese Panizza Elena, young but expert painter specialized in seascapes.
"For seven years I have dedicated myself to the sea by visiting beautiful places and then reproducing them in my works. I have seen that people love this subject very much, and so I am happy that someone can exhibit one of my paintings at home".

PANIZZA ELENA
Elena Panizza was born in Milan in November 1965.
Art and inspiration in the veins - grandmother and aunt, painters and sculptors - inevitably push her towards creative studies: the artistic high school first and the Brera Academy then, with the Masters Di Gennaro already a pupil of Arnaldo Pomodoro, the sculptor A. Rizzello and the painter Giansisto Gasparini.
Thus from the adolescent years his first works were born, and he participated in the first group shows. The pages of the magazine "Arte e cultura" dedicate a review to it.
He deepens his technical knowledge by attending a private school of art and illustration in Milan, having among the Masters Karel Tole, the best known illustrator of the covers of Urania.
In 1993 she founded a graphic and illustration company with her husband, and created important editorial and artistic projects with prestigious brands, such as Ricordi, Walt Disney, Giostyle, Carteduca, Virca, Kartos, Edizioni Paoline, Edizioni Del Drago.
The purely artistic vein, however, is never suffocated by professional growth, but rather finds its outlet in the creation of Trompe l'oeil and Murals, in private homes and public places. From this experience the desire to express the creative inspiration more mature, pouring it into pictorial works. Thus were born in 1997 the first tables of the "marine harmonies" series.
The collaboration with Topart since 2001 allowed the worldwide diffusion of his paintings and consolidated the growing artistic quotation.
During her career, Elena Panizza has participated in numerous personal and collective exhibitions. Alassio, Piazza Duomo in Milan, Arte sul Naviglio, Sestri like Montmartre (critics' prize May 2000), Desenzano del Garda, Genoa, Vicenza, Padua, Bergamo, Brescia are just some of the most important.
His paintings appear in many private collections, in Italy and abroad, in France, Switzerland, Denmark, England, Brazil, Japan.
They wrote about her:
Mariella Nasi-Pfeiffer in "Commercio" of February 1990,
Lia Ciatto in "Art and culture" of February 1988,
Daniela Stasi in "The day" of January 19th 2000.

poetic anthology 2011
from the preface:
... It's nice to read these new poems by Francesco mirroring himself in the image of the cover signed by Panizza, because we feel that even sucked into a black hole we can see "Bagliori nell'oscombra", the living sign of a new bright beginning, ...
from thanks:
... I also thank the artists Elena and Max Panizza, who have once again embellished the volume with their splendid work of art entitled "Night glows" which masterfully expresses the concept and the title of the volume. The artistic and human enthusiasm of the Panizza, together with their surprising creativity, provide the reader with an extra key to reading, which prepares them for the "poetic journey" in a highly suggestive atmosphere.

poetic anthology 2010
... Secondly, I thank Elena and Max Panizza, established and highly-rated artists, of great talent and deep sensitivity, who have allowed me to use one of their paintings for the cover image: certainly a touch of class that has embellished this poetic silhouette. I chose the work entitled "The keeper" taken from their famous "Marine Harmonies", which aroused in me a sense of warmth, of meditation and reflection, with a splendid marine scenery at sunset and a lighthouse. Over time, Elena and Max have reached absolutely exquisite and highly prestigious artistic levels. ...

"It is difficult to find a song so long and relaxed, faithful, as is that of Panizza dedicated to light. A song that has been expressed in different ways over the years, but that has made the intensity of emotion its rule. It is the light that builds the painting, indicates its areas of strength, its emotional tightening, the score of the spaces, their invincible linkage. Panizza's works know how to be essential, violent and poetic, devoted to reality but even far from it. Calm, tense, invincible water landscapes. "
